Use Alerts in Preqin Pro to customize your news, fundraising, deals, and company notifications and get the latest and most accurate updates sent straight to your inbox.
Investor News Alerts
While custom target lists are beneficial to keep track of the dealings of your competition, we can also help you be the first to hear about news that may affect your business decisions.
With 'News Alerts', you can set up a daily or weekly custom newsletter tailored to your needs. You can be alerted whenever a fresh investor news story appears on the database based on categories of your choosing – getting up-to-date information straight to your inbox.
Alerts can be set up in the 'Alerts' section that you can navigate to from the dashboard in Preqin Pro.
If you have existing alerts set up, you can use the pencil icon to rename them, click the settings cog to turn notifications on or off, customize your criteria and frequency, or use the trash can icon to delete an alert.
By clicking on the 'Create Investor News Alert' button in the top-right corner of the table, this modal will appear:
Here, you can create a new alert by entering the name, choosing the asset classes you want to follow, and customizing the frequency of the alert and the selection criteria (i.e., news type, investor type, location, and sustainability). Click 'Create Alert' when complete, and you will regularly receive new articles we have gathered or created – directly into your inbox.
Fundraising Alerts
With 'Fundraising Alerts' you can be alerted whenever a new fund is announced or expected, launches to the market or reaches a close, with information from our database straight to your inbox.
The process for setting up 'Fundraising Alerts' is similar to setting up 'News Alerts'. Instead of investor criteria, you need to select the fund criteria you want to include in your alert:
After selecting the asset classes you are interested in, as well as the fund type, manager location, strategy, sector, and geographic exposure, click on 'Create Alert' and you will receive alerts updating you on the current state of the fundraising market.
You can also customize fundraising alerts by fund status, giving you the opportunity to see newly announced and launched funds quickly, without having to sift through other information. This helps to prioritize your due diligence and fund screening efforts – enabling you to focus on the right opportunities at the right time.
Deals Alerts
Set up Deals Alerts to get notified when a new transaction occurs.
You can use the same steps as setting up 'News Alerts' or 'Fundraising Alerts':
When creating the alert, simply select the deal type you are interested in, industry focus, and geographic focus, and you will receive alerts updating you on the current state of the deals markets you're interested in.

Company Alerts
With 'Company Alerts', you can get notified about new company matches, deals or funding rounds, actionable company status changes, and financial updates, as soon as data is updated in Preqin Pro, to gain an edge when sourcing deals.
You can either create a new search or customize your saved searches with company alert triggers.
When using Company Search, click on ‘Save Search’ and select the criteria you prefer. You can fine-tune the frequency of alerts, date and time of notifications, and share them with colleagues to complement your team’s workflow.
If you’ve already set up and saved your searches, you can update alert preferences and triggers from the 'Saved Searches' section – accessible via the dashboard.
