Wakefield is an alternative investment advisory firm formed in 2011 and headquartered in Denver. The firm serves as investment advisor to the Wakefield family of mutual funds sponsored and launched on the Wakefield Alternative Series Trust platform which is registered under the “1940 Act” and organized as a Delaware statutory trust. In addition to promoting a Wakefield sponsored '40 Act product, Wakefield partners with individual hedge fund managers, commodity trading advisors and fund operators, providing strategic consultation in the design and structuring of client-specific mutual fund products. Wakefield’s Alternative Series Trust and fund services platform allows Wakefield to deliver a turn-key solution to the structuring, administration, marketing and distribution of a manager’s own, brand-named mutual fund(s). CFO, Patrick Kane, was previously a Senior Managing Director at Oppenheimer overseeing private equity and hedge funds. Patrick Hart is Wakefield’s Chief Executive Officer and his tenure in the alternative investment industry spans over thirty years. Throughout his career, through his affiliated entities, Mr Hart has designed, structured and managed alternative investment strategies and products for private and institutional investors worldwide.
