Univest

Univest is a fund of hedge funds management firm based in the Netherlands. It is established within the Unilever Group and all available investment expertise within Unilever is incorporated into Univest. It serves all global Unilever pension funds and advises Unilever’s Pension Committee with regard to their investment needs. Univest has offices in Rotterdam and London. Univest is set up as an umbrella vehicle – a “Fond Commun de Placement”. Univest has six sub-funds, each covering different asset classes or different geographic regions, with separately appointed investment managers. Each Unilever pension fund can choose to invest in one or more of these sub-funds. Local Unilever pension funds retain full ownership of their assets invested in Univest, through being unit holders in a series of multi-manager regional equity sub-funds with best-in-class managers. All the sub-funds are ring-fenced from one another and enable each individual Unilever pension fund to continue to define its own geographical investment strategy. One of the sub-funds offered is structured as a fund of hedge funds.
