Sting (previously STING Capital) is a Sweden-based Private Equity firm that was established by Innovationsbron Stockholm and Stockholm Innovation and Growth and aims to provide financial support for companies in the initial phases of development. The firm targets investments in high-tech companies and is supported by STING Business Angels, an angel investor network that solely invests in STING companies. Sting invests in companies based in and around Stockholm as it takes a hands-on approach to manage its investments. While it specifically focuses on high-tech companies, it will not consider commitments to the biotechnology industry. Sting is owned by a public-private foundation, the Electrum Foundation, and KTH Holding.
