Shackleton Ventures is a direct secondaries venture capital firm. The firm specializes in direct secondary venture capital investments, where it will buy a portfolio of existing investments, or an individual deal, from an investor that is seeking liquidity. The firm focuses primarily on venture investments in young technology companies and growth investments in more mature companies within traditional industry sectors. In 2014, Shackleton restructured three venture capital funds that were initially raised by Sigma Capital Group by forming a new Limited Partnership, Shackleton Secondaries 3 LP, with new terms and new funding and under Shackleton’s management. Sigma remains an investor in SS3.
