Established in 1986, Ridgedale Advisors (Ridgedale) is a systematic, global macro-management, New York-based hedge fund manager that focuses on quantitative long/short commodity strategies. The firm's principals have over 30 years of experience managing assets for institutional and high-net-worth investors. Its core investment philosophy is that certain strategies are more efficient than others, respectively, during various market environments and cycles. Ridgedale's main investment strategies are a global macro strategy and active commodity solutions (both enhanced beta as well as pure alpha). Ridgedale’s predecessor firm, RXR Capital Management, Inc. (RXR) was founded in 1983. In 2001, State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) acquired a stake in RXR, and RXR became SSARIS Advisors, LLC. In 2016, SSARIS management bought back the SSGA’s stake in SSARIS. Ridgedale Advisors was formed in June 2017, when key principals of SSARIS formed, bringing together again the key personnel, proprietary trading strategies, and product track records. The firm is currently accepting managed account investments. It's planning to offer onshore/offshore fund vehicles to domestic and international investors as demand warrants, UCITS Funds for European investors as well as liquid alternative products (40-Act Funds). As these initiatives evolve, the firm will be registering with the appropriate regulators such as Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) status. Ridgedale Advisors is 100% owned by the firm’s management team and three limited partners.
