Founded in 2007 as a family office, Galt Capital ("Galt") is a independent investment management firm located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The company manages a variety of investment vehicles, including fund of hedge funds, hedge funds and traditional investment funds. Significant part of the firm's AUM is directed to exclusive investment funds to certain families, a heritage of the its foundation as a family office. At the end of 2020, Galt firmed an agreement to merge its operations with Studio Investimentos, an equity-focused investment management firm located in Brazil, with the ultimate goal of increasing its offerings. Galt's fund of funds segment focuses on exploring different strategies within the domestic Brazilian hedge fund space, such as macro, long biased, long & short and quantitative funds.
