Galt Capital

Founded in 2007 as a family office, Galt Capital ("Galt") was an independent investment management firm located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The company managed a variety of investment vehicles, including fund of hedge funds, hedge funds and traditional investment funds. A Significant part of the firm's AUM was directed to exclusive investment funds to certain families, a heritage of the foundation as a family office. At the end of 2020, Galt formed an agreement to merge its operations with Studio Investimentos, an equity-focused investment management firm located in Brazil, with the ultimate goal of increasing its offerings. Galt's hedge fund operations focused on the equity market, in which portfolio managers implemented both relative value arbitrage operations and directional positions, with the flexibility of trading other asset classes such as interest rates and FX.
