Established in Q2 of 2005, Fintan Partners (Fintan) is a California-based hedge fund manager. The firm manages both single manager and fund of hedge fund vehicles. It favors smaller specialist managers and emerging strategies. The firm seeks for areas that present fewer competitors, proprietary sourcing, significant barriers to entry, complicated capital structures, areas or entities with limited access to capital, non-economic sellers, and activities that cause non-economic behavior, such as the impact of pension fund investment guidelines, government regulation or ratings agency behavior. In March 2014, the firm was acquired by Cantor Fitzgerald. Fintan maintains its team and investment advisory philosophy while deepening its resources and networks on Cantor's platform. In January 2022, the firm began liquidating its vehicles and planned to cease operations.
