Destinata Capital is a venture capital company that invests under the Section 12J of the Income Tax Act 58 of 1962, and an authorized financial service provider under the terms of Section 7 of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act. The firm prioritizes businesses in the private security, hospitality, private education, manufacturing, and renewable energy industries. While the firm does not exclude any sector for potential investments, it cannot, by law, invest in businesses within immovable property, banking, long term and short term insurance, money lending, hire-purchase funding, financial or advisory services, legal services, stockbroking services, management consulting services, tax advisory services, auditing or accounting services, gambling, liquor, tobacco, arms or ammunition industries, and trade carried on mainly outside South Africa.
