Brick Accretive Management was a hedge fund manager that dynamically trades equity markets through a broad economic lens. The firm invested primarily in transformative, high-growth industries affecting behavioral change and sells growth-challenged companies in mature industries that are slow to adapt to new markets, technology, or consumer preferences. Machine learning technology measures overall market sentiment, guides the portfolio’s risk profile, and helps to determine the probability of fat tails on the downside (risk) and upside (opportunity). The firm can prosper in either a bull or bear market; its strategy is not dependent on a particular market direction or narrative. Principals Todd Bickmeyer (portfolio manager), Ron Leven, Jerrold Jackson, and Brett Friedman possess experience in macro portfolio management, options trading, data science, and business management. The firm closed down operations in October 2019, liquidating its funds and returning capital to its investors.
