AccessTurkey Capital Group is a fund manager based in Istanbul, which was founded in 1999. It invests primarily in equity and debt securities in Turkey. The operations of the firm are divided into three business units: hedge fund, venture capital, private equity. AccessTurkey Private Equity is the private equity arm of AccessTurkey Capital Group that focuses on growth equity investments and control buyouts of middle-market companies primarily based in Turkey. The firm focuses their investments on companies with a defensible market position and the ability to grow both organically and through follow-on acquisitions. The firm invests in manufacturing, distribution (logistics and supply chain management), media, technology, financial services, and infrastructure sectors. The firm is open to extend business activities throughout Europe, the United States, and the Middle East. iLab Ventures, was founded in April of 2000 as a part of Access Turkey Capital Group with the mandate of investing venture capital in early and late stage companies operating in sectors with high-growth potential with a focus on internet based companies. The hedge fund arm of AccessTurkey invests opportunistically focusing on long/shorty equity investments in the emerging markets, primarily Russia and Eastern Europe.
