Private equity’s strong post-pandemic recovery and its growing share of global capital markets demonstrate its resilience, and capacity to innovate and respond to change. However, in Q3 its robust post-pandemic recovery is showing signs of moderating, with fundraising numbers and exit activity cooling slightly. The overall message is positive one, though. The industry still has ample room for growth, as private equity's share of total equity markets was at 4.1% as of March 2021.
