AIA Life Insurance Korea has announced President and CEO Nathan Michael Chuang will step down. Executive Vice President and CFO Jeon Hyesook will serve as Interim CEO until a successor is appointed.
ConocoPhillips, a US corporate investor, has named Andy O’Brien as President and CEO, succeeding Ryan Lance, who will become Executive Chair. Konnie Haynes-Welsh will become Senior Vice President and CFO.
Global trade credit insurer Allianz Trade, has named Scott Munafò as CEO for China. Munafò most recently served as Group Head of Broker Management and Partnerships.
Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan has appointed Mark Cormier and Roman Gula as acting co-heads of private equity on an interim basis, following the departure of Head of Global Private Equity Lori Hall-Kimm.
US foundation The Heinz Endowments has named John Barker as CIO. Barker joins from Kresge Foundation, where he was most recently Vice President and CIO.
HESTA, an Australian superannuation fund, has promoted Gary Greene to Interim General Manager for Unlisted Assets, and hired John O’Sullivan as Deputy CFO. Greene was an Investment Manager for Infrastructure, and O’Sullivan joins from Rest Super, where he was CFO.
KIRKBI Investment Management, a Danish family investment manager, has named Jakob Folkenberg Eriksen as Head of Real Estate Investments. He joins after roles at Lærernes Pension, ATP Real Estate, and Baunsøe Ejendomme.
US healthcare pension investor Providence Health & Services and Swedish Health Services Master Retirement Trust has named Kevin Smith as CFO, effective at the end of October. Smith is currently CFO of SSM Health Care.
Qiagen has named Jonathan Pratt as CEO, succeeding Thierry Bernard. Pratt joins from Filtration Group, where he was President and CEO.
UK pension investor Universities Superannuation Scheme has named Robert Ross as Head of Private Equity Funds and Co-Investments at USS Investment Management. He joins from CalSTRS.
Avista Healthcare Partners, a US healthcare private equity firm, has added Tom Orr as Strategic Executive.
Barings has named Brian Maute as Head of US Wealth. He will lead the firm’s wealth distribution strategy across intermediary channels.
Real estate investor Brennan Investment Group has hired Matt Field as Senior Vice President in Phoenix. He joins from Bridge Investment Group.
Charlesbank Capital Partners has named Brandon White and Sandor Hau as Co-Managing Partners. David Katz has been promoted to Co-Head of Private Equity alongside White, while Hau remains Head of Credit. Pedro Vaz and Carolyn Wintner have also joined the executive committee, and Michael Choe will become Managing Partner Emeritus.
Kainos Capital has announced that Brooks Thomas has rejoined the private equity firm as Vice President, and Catherine Shih and Peyton Peterson have joined as Associates.
LDR Partners has named Paul B Murphy, Jr as Partner. Murphy co-founded Southwest Bank of Texas, later Amegy Bank, serving as President and then CEO.
South Africa-based Old Mutual Alternative Investments has named Gareth McElhone as a Partner in its hybrid capital team. He joins from Nedbank Corporate and Investment Banking, where he was Head of Alternative Equity.
US-based private credit platform Percent has named Bina Shetty as CCO and Cecil Smart as Chief Credit Officer.
PGIM has named Lucas Radal as Head of Middle East Secondary Investments for its secondaries platform, Montana Capital Partners. Radal joins from Mubadala Capital.
US lower-mid-market investment manager Star Mountain Capital has appointed Adam Fitzner as Managing Director and Strategic Portfolio Partner.
Stellex Capital Management has named Andrew Walshe as Finance Transformation Leader and Chris Davy as Commercial Transformation Leader within its Stellex Resource Group, its portfolio operations team. Walshe joins from Strategic Value Partners, Davy from The Riverside Company.
A&O Shearman has hired Steven Tyndall as a Partner in its M&A and private equity practice in Austin. He joins from Morrison Foerster and advises on financings, M&A, joint ventures, capital markets, and corporate governance.
Clifford Chance has appointed Thyl Hassler as a Partner in Germany. Joining from White & Case, he advises on energy and infrastructure transactions.
Gibson Dunn has hired Clay Brett as a Partner in its private equity, and energy and infrastructure practices in Houston. Brett advises on M&A, structured equity and credit, fund formation, and joint ventures.
Holland & Knight has hired Kristie Shu as a Partner from Kirkland & Ellis. Shu focuses on private equity, M&A, and corporate governance.
Jones Day has named Elizabeth Oberholzer as a Partner in its corporate practice in Munich. She advises on cross-border M&A, carve-outs, and spin-offs, particularly for US clients.
Linklaters has hired Osama Audi as a Partner in its corporate practice in Abu Dhabi. Audi advises sovereign wealth investors, private capital clients, and corporates on transactions in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
Mayer Brown has hired Justin Hewett as a Partner in its global leveraged finance and private capital group in Houston. Joining from DLA Piper, he advises private credit funds, banks, and other institutional lenders on financings and restructurings.
Milbank has named Nadav Klugman as a Partner in its global project, energy and infrastructure finance group. Klugman joins from White & Case, where he co-led the global project development and finance practice. He will be based in Milbank’s new Chicago office.
Norton Rose Fulbright has hired Steven Olenick as US Head of Sports Capital and Transactions, and New York Head of Private Equity. He previously chaired the sports and entertainment practice at Mintz.
Sidley Austin has appointed Michael Pikiel Jr, Richard Puttré, Tom Millar, and Patrick Selinger as Partners in its energy, transportation and infrastructure practice across New York, Miami, Washington, DC, and Houston, respectively. All four join from Winston Taylor.
Arvest Bank, based in the US, has named Chris Evans as CFO, succeeding the retiring Karla Payne. Jon Mattingly has been appointed President and CEO of the bank’s mortgage division, succeeding Evans.
US wealth and asset manager Bailard has hired Simon Smundak as Senior Vice President, Private Markets & Solutions. Smundak will lead private investment sourcing, evaluation, and monitoring for ultra-high-net-worth clients.
Baker Tilly Wealth Management has named Tom Broderick as Chief Growth Officer, effective October, succeeding Rebecca Pomering. Broderick is currently Regional Managing Principal.
Banco Santander has appointed John Ciulla as CEO of Santander Bank, NA, and Luis Massiani as COO of Santander US and Santander Bank, NA. Both join from Webster Bank following Santander's acquisition of Webster Financial Corporation.
Client Associates, an India-based wealth manager, has named Siddharth Pardesi as Managing Partner and Chief Business Officer, HNI, in Mumbai.
Swedish investment firm Coeli has made three private wealth appointments: David Karlsson as Head of Fundraising Sweden, Kristoffer von Schéele as Head of Wealth Management, and Malin Siljehög as Head of Family Office Advisory.
Cushman & Wakefield, a global real estate advisory firm, has named Steve Klein as Managing Director and Loan Restructuring Practice Lead within its equity, debt and structured finance team. Klein previously founded boutique firm Klein Real Estate Strategies.
Lument, a US real estate finance platform, has named Christian Gorissen as Managing Director in its debt capital markets team. Based in Washington, DC, Gorissen joins from PNC Bank, where he focused on multifamily debt solutions.
Global financial services firm Marex has appointed Vitor Fontes as its first capital introduction hire in Latin America. Based in Brazil, Fontes will connect hedge fund and family office clients with institutional allocators.
Moelis & Company, a US investment bank, has named Russell Mason as Managing Director in its capital structure advisory group. Based in Dallas, Mason joins from Houlihan Lokey.
Nordic banking group Nordea has announced several upcoming leadership changes. Per Långsved will become Head of Personal Banking, Randi Marjamaa has been appointed Deputy Head of Business Banking, Mark Kandborg will assume the role of CRO and Head of Group Risk & Compliance, and Nahale Ståhl Hallengren will become Chief Compliance Officer.
Ogier Global has named Nichola Costello as Head of Fund Administration, Ireland, and Executive Director on the board of Ogier Global Investor Services (Ireland). Costello previously helped build the firm’s Irish fund administration platform.
US-based wealth management platform Osaic has named Sayee Bellamkonda as Chief AI & Technology Officer. He will lead technology, AI, and cybersecurity strategies and join the firm’s executive committee.
