A round-up of the latest private markets people moves globally
Limited partners
Bank of Singapore, OCBC’s private banking arm, has appointed Lim Leong Guan as Head of Private Banking for the Middle East, South Asia, and International, effective July 1. He will also be Chief Executive of the Dubai International Financial Centre. Guan has served as the bank’s Global Head of Financial Intermediaries, Family Office, and Wealth Advisory since 2024. He spent 25 years at UBS Wealth Management, including as Head of Investment Products and Services for Singapore.
US public pension fund CalPERS has promoted Anton Orlich to Deputy CIO for Private Markets. He has been the fund’s Managing Investment Director of Private Equity since 2022, as well as interim Managing Investment Director of Private Debt from 2024 to 2025. CalPERS has also hired Derek Walker as Managing Investment Director for Total Fund Portfolio Management. He joins from CPP Investments, where he was Managing Director, Head of Research, Total Fund Management.
ERAFP, a French public pension scheme, has appointed Olivier Bonnet as Head of Socially Responsible Investment, succeeding Pierre Devichi, who held the role for three years. Bonnet joined in 2009 as Head of SRI, a position he held until 2016. He was then appointed Head of Manager Selection before his latest promotion.
Icelandic pension fund Lífeyrissjóður verzlunarmanna has appointed Benedikt Gudmundsson as an Investment Officer fund manager, focusing on domestic private market investments and domestic unlisted equities. He was previously Deputy Investment Officer, having joined the firm as an analyst in 2022.
UK-based wealth manager Quilter Cheviot has expanded Andrew Fahy’s remit to CEO of Europe and International Markets, effective July 1. He will oversee the firm’s offices in Jersey and Dubai, while continuing to lead the Dublin office. Fahy joined Quilter in 2022 as Head of Financial Planning.
General partners
Apollo Global Management has made two senior hires in London: Huw van Steenis as Partner and European Economic & Policy Strategist, and Sarah Jenkins as Managing Director, Head of Government Affairs, Europe. Both are newly created positions that will start in August. Van Steenis was most recently Vice Chair of Oliver Wyman, and before that was a Senior Advisor to the CEO of UBS. Jenkins spent over 11 years at CPP Investments, latterly as Managing Director, Global Public Affairs EMEA.
US-based private markets manager Barings has hired Brad Finkle as Global Chief Operating Officer, a newly created role, effective late June. He joins after nearly 20 years at TIAA/Nuveen, where he held roles including Chief Administrative Officer of TIAA Wealth Management, Chief Operating Officer of Nuveen, and President of TIAA Investments. Bryan High will also join the firm’s senior leadership team while retaining his role as Head of Global Private Finance, while Eric Lloyd, President of Barings, will assume the role of Vice Chairman.
US digital infrastructure investment firm DigitalBridge has hired Brent Mayo as Managing Director, Investment Management focused on data centers, and Nicholas Beatty as Operating Partner focused on electrification and energy transition. Mayo joins from Newmark, where he served as Head of Data Centers and led the firm’s data center capital markets practice. Beatty was a Founder Director of Zenobē Energy.
EQT, the Stockholm-based private equity firm, has appointed Gustav Segerberg as its new CFO, effective July 18. He succeeds Kim Henriksson, who leaves the firm after eight years in the role. Segerberg has held various senior positions at EQT over the past decade and was most recently Head of the CEO Office.
Motive Partners, a fintech-focused private equity firm, has appointed Dr Ulrich Körner as Industry Partner. He will work with the investment and portfolio company leadership teams, advising on strategic execution, operational performance, and large-scale transformation initiatives. Körner was most recently Group Chief Executive Officer of Credit Suisse, where he led the firm through a restructuring period and its combination with UBS.

Akin Gump has hired Dilen Kumar as a Partner in the corporate practice, based in Dallas. He advises private equity sponsors on acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, and minority investments, and joins from Katten Muchin Rosenman, where he was a Partner.
Abrar Hussain has joined DLA Piper as a Partner in its Emerging Growth and Venture Capital practice, based in Palo Alto, California. Hussain, who was previously General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Samsara BioCapital, advises on fund formation, operations, fundraising, and other topics.
Sheppard Mullin has hired Gideon Sharp as London Office Managing Partner. Sharp joins from Simmons & Simmons, where he was co-head of the International Private Equity practice.
Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom has hired Monica Freas as a Partner in its financial institutions regulatory practice, based in Washington, DC. Freas spent over two decades at the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, most recently as acting Senior Deputy Comptroller for Regional and Midsize Financial Institutions.
White & Case has added Oskar Andrews as a Partner in its Global Debt Finance Practice, Global Financial Institutions Industry Group, and Global Private Capital Industry Group. Based in Stockholm, Andrews will advise on structured finance and private credit transactions in the Nordic region. He was most recently CEO of DNB Finans, Sweden Branch, the asset finance arm of Norway-headquartered DNB Bank.
Consultancy and advisory
UK pensions advisory firm Isio has appointed Dan Thomas as CEO, effective September 1. He will succeed Andrew Coles, who has led the firm since 2020. Thomas has held senior leadership roles at KPMG, Dell, Huntswood, and the Management Consulting Group.
Administration
Financial technology provider SEI Investments has appointed Sneha Shah as Chief AI Strategist, Michael Tryniszewski as Head of AI Orchestration, and William Coffey as Chief Data Officer. Shah joined the firm in 2023, having previously held senior roles at London Stock Exchange Group, Refinitiv, and Thomson Reuters. Tryniszewski was most recently a Senior Director at Takeda, and Coffey was formerly Chief Risk and Data Officer at Akuvo.
