A round-up of last week’s people moves at LPs and GPs around the world

LPs

  • Chicago-based private markets investment firm Adams Street Partners has appointed Jim Walker as Partner & Global Head of Wealth. He has been Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Adams Street for seven years and previously held senior leadership positions at Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse, and Merrill Lynch. Walker will share COO responsibilities with Partner and Chief Financial Officer Michael Kurlander.

  • Alpha Capital Family Office (ACFO) has recruited Alexandra Romeo Boyles as Senior Wealth Strategist and Partner, and Will Coughlin as Senior Investment Strategist and Partner. Both join from Citi Private Bank and will be based in ACFO’s headquarters in Denver, Colorado.

  • Dynasty Financial Partners has promoted Leslie Dentinger Norman to Chief Technology Officer. She was formerly Deputy CTO at the Florida-based firm, which has AUM on its platform of more than $100bn. Dynasty provides technology-enabled wealth management solutions and business services for financial advisory firms serving high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.

  • New York-based wealth manager East Rock Capital has recruited Alexandra Schueler as Senior Director of Strategic Engagement. She joins from the Milken Institute, where she worked in the Business & Program Development team, responsible for relationships with private equity firms, hedge funds, banks, multinationals, and philanthropists. Schueler will be based in Miami.

  • Easterly Asset Management has appointed Todd Marion as SVP, Mid-Atlantic. He will focus on building and maintaining relationships across a variety of alternative investments for the Massachusetts-based firm. Marion spent over 25 years at OppenheimerFunds, and more recently was SVP of Distribution at Arrow Funds. He joins Easterly Asset Management from FS Investments.

  • Rothschild & Co has appointed James Morrell as Deputy CEO of its UK Wealth Management business. The new role is to provide increased capacity at a senior level for the wealth business, which has doubled AUM over the past five years. Rothschild is recruiting for the Head of Front Office role that Morrell held for the past seven years.

  • Chicago-headquartered Northern Trust Asset Management (NTAM), with AUM of $1.2tn, has recruited Xiangrong (Sharon) Jin as Head of Product Strategy. Jin will lead the asset manager’s global product strategy organization across all asset classes, investment strategies, vehicles, and geographies. She joins from Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where she worked for 15 years in senior leadership roles in portfolio strategy and client portfolio management.

  • SBZ Pensioen, the Dutch pension fund for the health insurance industry, has appointed Dominique Dijkhuis to executive board member for asset management and communication. She succeeds Reiniera van der Feltz, who carried out the role for 10 years. Dijkhuis has previously worked at pension funds ABP, PMT, and PFDNB, as well as the central bank of the Netherlands (DNB) and the Dutch regulator for financial markets (AFM).

GPs

  • Churchill Asset Management, a private markets division of Nuveen, has recruited Robert Paun as Managing Director, Head of Investor Relations, Retail & Wealth. He will be based in New York and lead the investor relations strategy, management, and execution of the firm’s regulated funds, while focusing on growing private wealth offerings. Paun was most recently Head of Investor Relations at FS Investments.

  • FalconPoint Partners, a New York-based private equity firm focused on investing in North American middle market companies in the business services and industrials sectors, has appointed Vijay Maharaj as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer. Maharaj joins from GreyLion Partners and has also held senior finance roles at Clayton, Dubilier & Rice and CCMP Capital Advisors. FalconPoint also hired Geena Dai as Vice President, Ethan John as an Associate, and Elle Hathaway as an Operations Associate.

  • Financial services and healthcare-focused private equity firm Flexpoint Ford, which has $8.2bn of AUM, has appointed Josh Tamaroff as a Managing Director in the New York office. He joins from Avista Capital Partners, where he focused on investments in the pharmaceutical and medical technology sectors.

  • Mid-market buyout firm Palladium Equity Partners has promoted Daniel Ilundain to President. He joined the New York-based firm in 2005 and serves as Co-Head of the Flagship Funds, a role he will retain. Palladium has more than $3bn AUM and focuses on consumer, services, industrial, and healthcare businesses, especially those addressing the fast-growing Hispanic market in the US.

  • London-based Three Hills has hired Tim Spillane as an Operating Partner, Daniel Knight as Investment Director, and Patrick Judd as an Associate. Spillane joins from Sun Capital Partners, where he was an Operating Advisor in the Performance Improvement Team. Knight was previously Investment Director, Sustainable Growth Funds at Bridges Fund Management, while Judd was a Senior Associate at Golding Capital Partners.
