LPs
Wealth Manager Insigneo has appointed Michael Averett as Chief Revenue Officer, a newly created role. He was most recently Head of Business Development at Boston Global Capital, and previously a Regional Director at CitiBank.
The Korean Investment Corporation has appointed Kiho Kwon as Head of their newly opened Mumbai office. He retains the position of Director at the firm.
UK-based pooled pension fund LGPS Central has appointed Nadeem Hussain as Head of Private Markets. He was previously Head of Public Markets, and Mark Davies will assume his previous position.
Singapore-based Wrise Wealth Management has appointed Dhruba Jyoti Sengupta as CEO of Wrise Middle East. He most recently served as the CEO of a family office.
GPs
US-based alternative investment firm Ares Management has promoted Julie Solomon to Co-Head of Real Estate. She was previously the Global Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Ares Real Estate. Prior to joining Ares in 2013, Solomon was Partner and Head of Business Development and Marketing at Area Property Partners.
Private equity firm Arsenal Capital Partners has named Joelle Marquis as President in a newly created role. Before joining the firm in 2013. Marquis was Vice President of HR and COO at Baltimore Technologies.
US-based Balance Point Capital has promoted Grant Groher to Managing Director. He joined the firm in 2017, and was most recently Senior Vice President. Previous roles include Associate, Financial Sponsors Group at Credit Suisse. The company has also promoted Dan Freshman to Senior Vice President from Vice President.
Blackstone has announced that Thomas R. Nides has joined the firm as Vice Chairman, Strategy, and Client Relations. He was previously Vice Chairman of Morgan Stanley, a US Deputy Secretary of State, and the US Ambassador to Israel.
Private equity firm Flexpoint Ford has promoted Karan Sabharwal to Principal. He joined the firm in 2023 as Vice President and previously served as Vice President for Waud Capital Partners.
US-based fund manager General Atlantic has appointed Chris Kojima to the newly created Global Head of Capital Solutions role. He was most recently Partner, Global Co-Head of the Client Solutions Group at Goldman Sachs, where he served for 28 years.
Alternative investment firm Hamilton Lane has appointed Dominik von Scheven as a Managing Director in the global Real Assets Investment Team. He previously worked at HSBC Alternative Investments and was Co-Head of Infrastructure and Energy at DWS Group. Also joining the Real Assets Investment Team is Taylor McManus as Principal. Most recently, he was Vice President at Instar Asset Management.
Real estate firm Henderson Park has appointed Bob Lee as Managing Director and Global General Counsel. He most recently was Partner, Co-Chair of Real Estate Practice at Jones Day, where he served as Partner for almost 30 years.
Infrastructure firm I Squared Capital has appointed Brian Collett as Managing Director, Strategic Engagement. He was previously the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of the Missouri Local Government Employees Retirement System. Meanwhile, Michael Kumar joins as a Senior Policy Advisor from Morgan Stanley, where he spent the last 26 years, most recently as Global Head of Project, Commodity and Infrastructure Finance.
US-based Lazard Asset Management has announced that Tomohiro Kamisaku will join the firm as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lazard Japan Asset Management KK. He joins the firm from Amundi Japan, where he was most recently Executive Vice President.
Private equity firm Liberty Hall Capital Partners has promoted James C. Black to Partner. He previously served as Principal at the firm, and most recently worked at Citigroup. Matt Seely has also been promoted to the position of Vice President from Senior Associate.
M&G Investments has announced the appointment of Emmanuel Deblanc as CIO, overseeing the firms’ private markets business. He was previously Head of Private Markets at Allianz Global Investors, before which he was Co-Head of BNP Paribas’ Debt Advisory and Financing Team.
Private equity firm OceanSound Partners has appointed Julie Marracino as Principal, Investor Relations. She most recently served as Vice President, Investor Relations and Capital Formation at TCV, and previously was Principal at Blackstone.
Middle-market private equity firm One Equity Partners has appointed Greg Belinfanti as President, succeeding founder Richard Cashin. He joined the firm in 2006 and was previously Vice President at Lehman Brothers.
US-based Phoenix Merchant Partners has announced the addition of Adrian Macedo as Managing Director and Head of Investment. He previously served as Managing Director at ORIX Corporation UK. The firm has also announced the appointment of Julia Henderson as Managing Director, Insurance Solutions.
Real estate firm PPR Capital Management has promoted Taylor Nelson to Director of Non-Performing Loan Investments. He previously served as Senior Acquisition and Portfolio Analyst, joining the firm in 2017.
Alternative investment firm Strategic Value Partners has announced the addition of Timo Koch as Managing Director, Co-Head of Structured Capital Europe. He was most recently Managing Director at Avenue Capital Group. The firm has also appointed Ahmed Khan as Managing Director. He was previously Director at KKR Special Situations, as well as Vice President at Bain Capital.
Private equity firm Vestar Capital has promoted Wilson Orr and Ian Singleton to Vice Presidents to Principals. Orr joined the firm in 2017 as an Associate, and previously worked as an Analyst at JP Morgan. Singleton joined in 2019 and was previously an Associate at Ares Management.
Private equity firm Waud Capital Partners has promoted Matthew Albers to Partner. He previously served as Vice President of Capital Markets, and most recently worked at Antares Capital.
