The sovereign wealth fund’s third-party fund arm has private equity dry powder of $3.0bn

June 24, 2024 (Preqin News) – Mubadala Capital is an investment arm of the Abu Dhabi-based sovereign wealth fund and has AUM of $276bn, with 18 private equity and four private debt funds. Preqin estimates the fund has $3.0bn of private equity dry powder.

Mubadala’s sports and media investments include a 20% minority stake in the commercial rights of Liga de Futebol Brasileiro in November 2022, and Yankees Entertainment & Sports Network, where it participated in a $3.5bn recapitalization alongside Blackstone Group, New York Yankees, RedBird Capital, and Sinclair Broadcast Group, buying an 80% stake from The Walt Disney Company.
