Infrastructure Q2 2026: Preqin Quarterly Update

Infrastructure fundraising weakened in Q2 without mega funds, but interim close data points to continued capital formation and deal activity appears resilient

• Infrastructure fundraising hit a record low for final closes in Q2, with only eight funds closing. The majority of capital raised was for funds pursuing higher-risk strategies

• Total value of infrastructure deals in the quarter fell 19%, but the number of deals rose 13%; renewables accounted for more than 50% of Q2 deal count

• Performance dispersion of the asset class reinforces the importance of manager selection
