Private equity capital raised improved, but deal value softened from Q1’s elevated base and secondaries fundraising cooled after a strong run

• Aggregate exit value for Q2 2026 nearly doubled to $206bn while exit volume declined, continuing the trend toward fewer but much larger exits

• While aggregate capital raised rose to $191bn in Q2, the fundraising cycle remains extended, with more than half of funds taking between 19 and 30 months to close
