The decline in actual fundraising has accelerated, but there are a record number of funds on the road – albeit will a smaller total capital target than in the past couple of years. Despite the fundraising challenge, global buyout deal flow has rebounded significantly from Q2 levels. And in the venture capital space, deal activity has continued its strong recovery and exit valuations soared to a new quarterly record.
