Navigating to Transaction Intelligence
Transaction Intelligence is accessible via the ‘Benchmarks’ tab in Preqin Pro and requires an additional subscription to your package.

Using Transaction Intelligence
Use the left-hand menu to navigate between each dropdown and dive into your customizable analytics.
For pre-calculated deal performance and valuation multiples benchmarks, select the ‘Asset-Level Benchmarks’ dropdown.
To perform deeper analysis by combining deal-level data with powerful, customizable analytics use the ‘Performance’ dropdown.
To enhance your private asset valuations with asset-level performance data and customizable analytics, select the ‘Valuation’ dropdown.
Lastly, to track valuation changes by indexing and benchmarking GPs’ quarterly fair value adjustments, select the ‘Fair Value Adjustment’ dropdown.
Refining your criteria
To refine the deal criteria, simply select ‘All filters’ on any tab to choose your preferred asset class, industry, geography, deal size, deal type, timing, performance metrics, and more. The filters you choose will automatically be applied to all other tabs and you can amend them at any time during your analysis.
You can save your filter selections for future reference by selecting ‘Save search’. Use ‘Load search’ to manage your saved searches and easily dive into saved criteria to view the latest analysis and export presentation-ready charts and tables.

All charts are interactive, with additional breakdowns available by industry classification, deal type, region, deal size, and more. Easily export the charts and data as PNG, JPEG, PDF, CSV, or Excel by selecting ‘Export’ in the top right-hand corner of each chart.
About the data
Transaction Intelligence consists of reported fund-level and deal-level data – including operational metrics of individual assets – which is extracted directly from fund manager portfolio reports, then aggregated and anonymized.
