Spend less time searching for the documents you need to stay on top of investor activity - Preqin Pro's feed of Investor Documents now offers the ability to filter by document type, investment details, investor type, and location. Plus, you can save your searches and set up alerts, meaning you'll never miss a document when new ones are added.
We've also made the search results page more intuitive, so it's easier to identify documents you’re interested in, to give you more time to focus on your fundraising and investor relations efforts.
New & improved Preqin for Excel plugin
This year, we gave our Preqin for Excel plugin a new interface and improved the Formula Builder feature – ensuring you can access the critical data you need faster than ever. Plus, the template library enables you to take the heavy lifting out of building tear sheets in Excel with a choice of fully customizable pre-built templates for investor profiles.
Enhanced investor coverage in Preqin for Salesforce
Streamline your workflows by viewing all investor data directly in your CRM with Preqin for Salesforce, regardless of their active investment status. We’ve also included the date stamp of when the data was last updated, so you no longer need to navigate to Preqin Pro for full investor datasets or to check when data was last refreshed.
Find investors who’ve allocated to ESG funds
Accelerate your fundraising campaigns by finding investors who have previously invested in ESG-labeled funds, such as climate, impact, SFDR articles 8 & 9, and Sharia, or those who have invested in women-led and minority-led firms. Boost your deal origination by building more efficient target lists when looking for companies held in private equity buyout funds. Part of our solution for deal investment teams, Actionability Signal for buyouts uses historical data to pinpoint which companies held in buyout funds are likely to become open for investment within the next 12 to 18 months, enabling you to refine your list of potential investment targets faster.
Expanded Valuation Multiples Benchmarks datasets
Optimize your capital deployment strategy with expanded datasets for Valuation Multiples Benchmarks. Determine the market value of assets more accurately with new operational metrics for revenue, net debt, revenue growth, EBITDA, and holding period – as well as realized entry and realized exit to get an edge during negotiations.
Expanded Deal Performance Benchmarks datasets
Carry out deeper analysis of your peers’ deal track records to compare their investments against yours, with our newly expanded Deal Performance Benchmarks datasets – now including real estate and infrastructure asset classes. Deal Performance Benchmarks enable you to gain insight into your competitors’ capital deployment strategies by benchmarking the performance of underlying deal exposures at the sector, region, and investment type level.
Assess a private company’s growth with employee metrics
Understand a private company’s growth better to see if it matches your investment strategy with enhanced employee data. Easily see the percentage change in employee headcount by month, quarter, and year to get a better view of a company’s trajectory. Employee growth charts are available via ‘Company Search’ under the ‘Financials & Employees’ tab, as part of our solution for deal investment teams.
Spot actionable companies to invest in
Find private companies that meet your investment criteria more effectively with an enhanced user experience via ‘Company Search’. The updated search results table now makes it easier to identify companies likely to be actionable via a liquidity event within the next 6-18 months, with the Actionability Signal toggle. Full company descriptions are also now included in search results and exports to give you more visibility. Plus, we’ve made it easier to add companies of interest to target lists.
Buyout deal search and analysis made easier
You can now filter buyout deals by type with the new 'Deal Type' filter in the 'Buyout Deal Search' and 'Buyout Deals' chart in Preqin Pro. Select between 'Investments' or 'Exits' to analyze buyout deals of interest, and with the addition of mergers to the 'Investments' filter, you can even go further in your search for deals.
New ESG filters in Company Search
Use ‘Company Search’ to quickly identify companies that align with your sustainability goals based on ESG metrics. Enhance your capital deployment with additional ESG filters, including risk exposure estimates, SASB factors, carbon, water, and employee metrics, as well as likelihood of positive impact.
ESG risk & impact data now available for infrastructure assets and funds
Improve your evaluation of ESG risk exposure and impact potential of infrastructure assets and funds. Identify sources of ESG risk factors based on SASB’s sector-specific materiality and simplify early due diligence for a comprehensive assessment of all potential financial and stakeholder risks. Facilitate impact-aligned investment choices through comparable data estimates and measure how your infrastructure investments align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
New ESG filters in Performance Search
Elevate your performance analysis of ESG-labeled funds with a new ‘ESG fund label’ filter in the private capital performance search. Easily filter and access performance data on ESG-labeled funds, including 94 impact funds. Compare ESG funds to non-ESG funds and create custom benchmarks to assess performance more effectively.

1,090+ new investors were added, including 290+ in private wealth to ensure our in-depth investor data continues to help you raise more capital faster.
Our world-class global research department reviewed over 1 million total contacts, including 290K+ investor contacts, giving your more chances for a successful outreach with more up-to-date information on key personnel, including their contact details and preferred method of contact.
2023 saw over 21,600 fund commitments added to investor profiles (up 9% from 2022), bringing our total coverage to just over 261,600 fund commitments. Preqin’s global coverage now includes commitment data for over 16,800 investors across 122 countries, covering 56 different vintage years.
Plus, as of January 2024, we have over 2,350 investor mandates & RFPs listed, thanks to our direct relationships with LPs to give you a competitive advantage when fundraising.
