About

van Eyk was established in 1989 as an investment research provider before it subsequently expanded its operations to include investment management by launching its first funds in 2003. On top of specializing in qualitative investment research and asset consulting services to institutions across Australia, the firm also managed the van Eyk Blueprint Series of funds on behalf of Macquarie Bank, which was the responsible entity of the funds. In 2014, most of the van Eyk Blueprint Series of funds was liquidated as a result of a mandate breach identified as an AUD 31 million illiquid investment made by one of its underlying managers, Artefact Partners. The fund management arm of van Eyk itself was subsequently put into administration, while the firm’s research unit remained in operations.
