Established through the merger of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) and Development Credit Authority (DCA), U.S. International Development Finance Corporation is a self-sustaining US government agency that supports private investment in more than 150 emerging market economies and countries. Its four principal activities are project finance, political risk insurance, private equity investment funds, and outreach activities.
