The Travelers Companies, Inc. is an insurance company founded on April 1, 1864. The firm provides property and casualty insurance products in the US. St. Paul and Travelers merged on April 1, 2004, to form a property-casualty insurance and financial services firm, The St. Paul Travelers Companies, Inc. In February 2007, the firm changed its name to The Travelers Companies, Inc.
