About

Town of Lexington Retirement System is a multiple-employer and one of the contributory retirement systems in Massachusetts. It provides pension benefits, deferred allowances, and death and disability benefits to all covered current and former employees of the Town of Lexington except teachers and administrators under contract employed by the School Department. The retirement board, though operating independently, does not have the authority to amend benefit provisions and is overseen by the Public Employee Retirement Administration Commission.
