About

Theta Capital Management is an independent investment firm dedicated to the growth and preservation of client capital Founded in 2001, the firm is located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. It operates mainly as a venture capital fund of funds manager, investing in early stage early stage companies that are active in blockchain technology and the digital tokens market globally. Theta has been investing in crypto native venture funds since January 2018. Theta Fund Management is the first AIFMD licensed manager in the space. Theta also specializes in managing tailor-made portfolios of hedge funds, customizing to individual clients' needs and preferences. Theta manages the Theta Legends Fund, an exchange listed fund of funds offering liquid access to a portfolio of hedge fund managers. The co-founders of Theta are Tjeerd J.J. de Vries and J. Tijo van Marle. In Q4 2011, the firm entered into an association with Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild (BPER) which saw its funds of hedge funds sold to Rothschild.
