Texas A&M University System (TAMUS) is a public state university system in the United States, headquartered in College Station, Texas. It was formally established in 1948 by the Texas Legislature to oversee a statewide network of higher education institutions, research entities, and public service agencies. The University System's portfolio is made up of the Cash Concentration Pool and System Endowment Fund. The System Endowment Fund provides funding for scholarships, fellowships, professorships, academic chairs, and other uses as specified by donors.
