About

State of Delaware Board of Pension Trustees is comprised of seven members and is responsible for the general administration of the Delaware Public Employees’ Retirement System (DPERS). DPERS originally consisted of the State Employees’ Pension Plan, Judiciary Pension Plan, Closed State Police Pension Plan, and Retired & Disabled Teachers Pension Plan. Presently, the System consists of nine retirement plans and three commingled pension funds. Each plan has a separate membership and differs accordingly. The nine plans are the State Employees’ Plan, New State Police Plan, Revised Judicial Plan, County & Municipal Other Employees' Plan (General), County & Municipal Police and Firefighters' Plan, Diamond State Port Corporation Plan, Delaware Volunteer Firemen's Plan, Closed Judicial Plan, and Closed State Police Plan, while the three commingled investment funds are the County & Municipal Police and Firefighters’ COLA (COLA Fund), Post-Retirement Increase Fund (PRI), and the Delaware Local Government Retirement Investment Pool (DELRIP).
