Spinnaker Trust was a Maine bank chartered as a nondepository trust company. The firm was founded in December of 2000 as Spinnaker Advisors and began managing assets as Spinnaker Trust in April 2001. Spinnaker began operations on Milk Street in Portland’s Old Port District and received its bank charter in August of 2001. Spinnaker Trust merged with wealth management firm Ram Trust in 2012 to form a combined entity operating under the Spinnaker name. The firm helps clients manage and develop their assets through prudent investment. The services it provides include investment planning, investment management, tax planning, global asset management and trust & estate services.
