About

Smart Pension is a private pension fund based in the UK. It provides a digital pension service to employers and employees in the UK and internationally. The private pension scheme had its first members in 2015 and was authorized as a master trust by The Pensions Regulator in 2019. In July 2024, Smart Pension signed a commercial agreement with STM Group to take on members of the <a href=https://pro.preqin.com/investor/618703>Options Workplace Pension Trust</a> in an acquisition that includes the transfer of 545 million pounds in assets under management and 300,000 current members of Options Workplace Pension Trust to the Smart Pension Master Trust. In November 2025, Smart Pension acquired WS Stakeholder Pension Scheme from Waystone Management (UK) Limited.
