About

Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) is a public transportation system serving Philadelphia and a number of suburban towns. Its system is made up of buses, subways, trolleys, trackless trolleys, high-speed rail, and commuter trains. SEPTA maintains single-employer, defined benefit pension plans covering all of its full-time employees, other than regional rail union employees and the plans are administered by the authority’s Human Resources Department.
