Sebrae — overview

About

Sebrae is part of a system that was created to assist small and medium enterprises. The system was created in 1972 and was tied to the Federal Government. In 1990, the entity became an independent social service agency. SEBRAE-SP is the Sao Paulo based member of the group. The partnership aims to assist, stimulate and promote small entrepreneurship, in alignment with the economic and social development policies of the country. It enables small entrepreneurs to obtain the necessary conditions and guidance to grow and keep up with the pace of the economy. Despite it being correlated with its parent institution SEBRAE, SEBRAE-SP has the autonomy to develop its own independent projects tailored to the needs of the State of Sao Paulo, in Brazil.
