Sciens Capital Management — overview

About

Founded in 1994, Sciens Capital Management was a London-based fund of hedge fund manager. The firm focused on providing bespoke and integrated investment solutions to institutional and private clients globally. In 2007, it entered aviation asset management through a joint venture with Apollo Aviation Group. A year later it announced that it had purchased the institutional investment management business of Atlas Capital. The combination of the two companies created an international investment management organization which included a fund of hedge funds business. In 2010, the firm acquired a hedge fund managed account platform from Partners Group. It liquidated its funds of hedge funds and the firm shut down.
