As of September 2019, Scandinavian Private Equity Partners (SPEP) has sold its portfolio of interests in private equity funds, and the company is no longer active within the alternative assets market. SPEP advised Scandinavian Private Equity (SPEAS), a Danish investment company listed on Nasdaq OMX Copenhagen, on its private equity fund investments. SPEAS focused on buyout funds investing in the Nordic countries. SPEP was owned by four leading Danish financial institutions: Jyske Bank, Nykredit, Spar Nord Bank, and Sydbank. In March 2013, Scandinavian Private Equity (SPEAS) acquired its adviser Scandinavian Private Equity Partners (SPEP).
