Established in 2007, Santander Asset Management is based in Spain. It is an asset management service provider operating in Latin America and Europe. The firm provides its clients with a wide range of investment services, ranging from investment funds to illiquid assets, and offers unit trusts, multi-manager funds, general insurance, as well as pension and collective-investment products. Asset managers Gesbansander, Banesto Gestión, and BSN Gestión of the Santander Group merged into Santander Gestión in 1997. In 1999, Banco Santander and Banco Central Hispano merged, and Santander Central Hispano Gestión was created. After a few years, Santander Asset Management UK was created in 2007 after the acquisition of Abbey National Bank in the United Kingdom. Then in 2009, Santander Asset Management Brazil was created just after Banco Santander’s acquisition of ABN Amro in Brazil. In 2011, Bank Zachodni WBK was acquired then after 2 years, Santander Asset Management Germany was created. Read more ⏷
