About

Safra National Bank is an international private bank, offering high-net-worth clients a combination of full banking services and tailored financial solutions with the personal touch of a boutique firm. The financial history of the Safra family began in the 19th century with Jacob Safra, the patriarch, who was known for his amazing ability to mentally calculate the conversion of several currencies as well as the financing costs for every one of his clients. In the mid-19th century, Safra Frères et Cie was founded in Aleppo, a private bank bearing the name of the renowned family. As the name grew, other branches were opened throughout the Middle East, choosing Beirut as its headquarters by the mid-20th century. Since then, the bank has grown with further branches now in Europe and the US.
