Norfolk Pension Fund — overview

About

Norfolk Pension Fund is a public pension fund headquartered in Norwich, UK. It is the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) for local authority employees. Norfolk County Council is the administering authority for the fund. In July 2015, the UK government announced that it would work with the Local Government Pension Schemes (LGPS) to reform the way investments are managed. As part of the reform, the government ordered the 91 Local Government Pension Schemes to combine assets into large investment pools. Norfolk Pension Fund began pooling its assets to <a href=https://pro.preqin.com/investor/272381>ACCESS</a> in 2018. In April 2025, ACCESS' pooling proposals were rejected by the government during its 'Fit for the Future' consultation. As a result, the pool and its constituent pension funds were invited to merge with other pools. In August 2025, Norfolk Pension Fund announced that it planned to join the <a href=https://pro.preqin.com/investor/272370>LGPS Central</a> pool by April 2026.
