About

New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) is responsible for promoting economic growth in each of New York City’s various boroughs. It aims to stimulate investment in the city across industry sectors and broaden its tax and employment base, while also meeting the need of businesses. NYCEDC was formed after merger of the New York City Public Development Corporation (PDC) and the Financial Services Corporation of New York City (FSC). It assumed the responsibilities of the two not-for-profit organizations, including managing real estate development programs, administering business finance programs, and overseeing programs of the New York City Industrial Development Agency (NYCIDA), which provides incentives to businesses in the city.
