NBank is the bank for investment and business development in Niedersachsen. It is fully owned by the federal state. All federal subsidy schemes aiming to back the regional economy, labour market and education, as well as grants for housing and urban development, are processed centrally in the NBank. Beside these federal funding programmes the NBank also gives advice on EU–support programmes and programmes offered by the German government as well as collaborating with regional partners in order to implement synergy effects and improve the overall business development programmes.
