MLC — overview

About

Founded in 1886, MLC is the wealth management arm of National Australia Bank after the latter’s acquisition in 2000. It provides a range of services including insurance, superannuation, and investment management. MLC has over a century worth of experience in the asset management industry and has since grown into one of the biggest multi-managers with a global presence, servicing individual, corporate and institutional investors. MLC has its own private equity division, MLC Private Equity, which was initiated in 1997. On 31 May 2021, IOOF announced the completion of its acquisition of MLC from National Australia Bank Limited.
