About

Established in 1941, Mine Super, previously known as Mine Wealth + Wellbeing, is a superannuation fund that has been serving Australia’s mining and supporting industries. It was formed from the merger of Queensland Coal & Oil Shale Mining Industry Superannuation Fund and CoalSuper Retirement Income Fund. In 2011, AUSCOAL Super announced that the proposed merger with Maritime Super would not proceed, as greater savings could be made through the existing alliances. In July 2014, AUSCOAL Super merged with Coal Industry Superannuation Fund. In July 2015, AUSCOAL Super changed its name to Mine Wealth + Wellbeing. In April 2018, Mine Wealth + Wellbeing changed its name to Mine Super to better reflect its heritage and new purpose and vision. In December 2022, Mine Super announced a proposed merger with TWUSUPER and have signed a non-binding memorandum. It is expected that the completion of the merger will be finalised in mid-2024. The combined entity will be called Team Super upon completion. In March 2025, TWUSUPER and Mine Super merged to create a new entity, Team Super.
