About

Merrill Lynch Alternative Investments was the hedge fund management and managed futures fund of funds division of Merrill Lynch, which served individual consumers, small and middle market businesses and large corporations with a full range of banking, investing, asset management and other financial and risk-management products and services. The fund of hedge fund division traded in the international futures and forward markets, and in a range of instruments, including futures, options on futures, and forward contracts on a range of commodities. In December 2014, it was announced that a deal had been agreed for the acquisition of Merrill Lynch's fund of hedge funds portfolio by Man Group.
