About

Marathon Petroleum Retirement Plan is a non-contributory employer-defined benefit pension plan covering eligible employees of Marathon Petroleum Company. The plan consists of three separate sub-plans that identify a specific group or organization. The sub-plans include the Refining, Marketing, and Transportation Sub-Plan, the Catlettsburg Refining Sub-Plan, and the Northwestern Refinery Sub-Plan. Marathon Petroleum Corporation (MPC) consists of refining and marketing, retail, and midstream services conducted primarily in the Midwest, Gulf Coast, East Coast, and Northeast and Southeast regions of the United States through subsidiaries, including Marathon Petroleum Company LP, Speedway LLC, and its subsidiaries. MPC operations are strategically located to serve major markets that include a seven-plant refining network, a comprehensive terminal, and transportation system, and extensive wholesale and retail marketing operations.
