It is a cost-sharing, multiple-employer, qualified governmental defined benefit pension plan that provides retirement, survivor, and disability benefits, covering assessors and their deputies employed by any parish of the State of Louisiana. The President, Vice President, and Treasurer of the Louisiana Assessors' Association also serve as officers of the Retirement Fund.
