About

London Pensions Fund Authority (LPFA) is a public pension fund headquartered in London, UK. It provides Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) benefits for previous employees of the Greater London Council and Inner London Education Authority, employees of charity, local government, not-for-profit, and private sector employers. The public pension fund is administered by Local Pensions Partnership Administration. In July 2015, the UK government announced that it would work with the Local Government Pension Schemes (LGPS) to reform the way investments are managed. As part of the reform, the government ordered the 91 Local Government Pension Schemes to combine assets into large investment pools. On 1st April 2016, LPFA formed a strategic partnership with <a href=https://pro.preqin.com/investor/2262>Lancashire County Council Pension Fund</a>. The two pension schemes pooled their assets into a single investment vehicle, the <a href=https://pro.preqin.com/investor/229972>Local Pensions Partnership (LPP)</a>. LPP acts as a discretionary asset manager for LPFA, undertaking all investment strategy, implementation, and monitoring functions.
