It is the collective investment pool for <a href=https://pro.preqin.com/investor/12661>Cheshire County Council Pension Fund</a>, <a href=https://pro.preqin.com/investor/3852>Derbyshire County Council Pension Plan</a>, <a href=https://pro.preqin.com/investor/5756>Leicestershire County Council Pension Fund</a>, <a href=https://pro.preqin.com/investor/4695>Nottinghamshire County Council Pension Plan</a>, <a href=https://pro.preqin.com/investor/2283>Shropshire County Council Pension Fund</a>, <a href=https://pro.preqin.com/investor/5488>Staffordshire County Pension Fund</a>, <a href=https://pro.preqin.com/investor/36628>Worcestershire County Council Pension Fund</a>, <a href=https://pro.preqin.com/investor/2532>West Midlands Pension Fund</a>, and West Midlands Integrated Transport Authority. In July 2015, the UK government released its summer budget announcing that it would work with the Local Government Pension Schemes (LGPS) to reform how investments are managed. As part of the reform, the government ordered the 89 Local Government Pension Schemes to combine Assets into large investment pools. In April 2018, the nine local authority pension funds began a phased transition of assets over to LGPS Central Pool.
