Jefferies is a global investment bank and institutional securities firm with clients for over 40 years. Jefferies is headquartered in New York and has more than 20 offices worldwide, Jefferies provides clients with capital markets and advisory services, institutional brokerage, securities research, and asset management. The firm is also a provider of trade execution in equity, high-yield, convertible and international securities. It mostly serves institutional investors and high-net-worth individuals. In November 2012 Jefferies Group entered a merger agreement with Leucadia National Corporation, however, operations between the two companies will remain separate.
