J. Safra Sarasin is a Swiss financial group offering investment advisory, corporate banking, and asset management services to private and institutional clients. Headquartered in Basel, the private investment bank operates across Asia, the Caribbean, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East. The J. Safra Sarasin Group was formed through the merger of Bank Sarasin and Bank J. Safra, completed in June 2013. Its holding company, J. Safra Sarasin Holding Ltd, is privately owned by J. Safra Holdings International (Luxembourg) S.A., whose shareholder is Mr. Joseph Y. Safra. In 2024, the Group acquired MIV Asset Management AG, a Zurich-based firm renowned for its expertise in medical technology (“Medtech”) investments.
